Marketing Intern


  • Assist in marketing and strategic plans
  • Assist in digital communications and website updates
  • On-site engagement with consumers
  • Hands on experience including flyer handouts
  • Helps monitor marketing activity and social media campaigns
  • Work with the Marketing Manager and programming team
  • Recommends strategies to sell JFL programming
  • Ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner
  • Review current market conditions and competitor information
  • Maintain effective working team relationships with all departments
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Strong desire to learn and be a part of largest comedy festival in the world
  • Experience in marketing, PR and/or event management
  • University degree in marketing or current student
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication and copywriting skills
  • Strong understanding of social media (facebook, twitter, Instagram, etc…)
  • Bilingualism is a strong asset
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the Montreal show business market
  • Adaptability, judgment, decision-making and flexibility
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a hectic environment
  • Prepared to work long hours, as needed
  • Positive energy
  • Overall love of comedy!
