• Jay Malone
    Jay Malone, originally from Kentville, Nova Scotia, began doing standup comedy in 1999 while studying at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. He moved to Toronto in 2000 and within two years was headlining across the country, and appearing on both national and international television, in commercials and comedic series.

    He has performed at the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Vancouver Festival and was featured on the “Toronto Show” in 2003. In 2004, Jay performed at the Just for Laughs Festival and took first place in the nationwide Homegrown Competition there. In 2005, he appeared on his own ‘Comedy Now” special, which was chosen to be the 100th episode special and received nationwide critical acclaim. He was also invited back to perform at the Just for Laughs Festival Gala – being the only comedian to have won the Homegrown competition and be invited back to perform in the Gala the very next year. He was also nominated as the “Best Male Standup Comic” at the Canadian comedy Awards. Jay is also a staff writer at the comedy series “Comedy Inc”. In addition to comedy and acting, Jay is also an accomplished cartoonist and has appeared in several national newspapers. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California and headlines comedy clubs across North America.
