Bios are stupid! Still interested? Here is my stupid bio: Shane Mauss (pronounced moss like on a tree or like the idiot football player) is originally from La Crosse, WI.  He moved to Boston and in April 2004 he started pursuing his childhood dream of being a stand up comedian.  He used his offbeat, creative, and clever material, his prolific writing, and laid back delivery to become the fastest rising comic in Boston.

The Boston Metro says, "Mauss riffs about dirty things, but his deadpan delivery has a sweet, almost jovial quality. It's this dichotomy that made Mauss stand out among all other comedians at the U.S. Comedy Arts festival." Paul Provenza (creator of The Aristocrats) said on the Penn Jillette radio show, "Shane Mauss is really, really terrific. He's a really unique voice. It is so clear that he has so much skill and craft. Very smart stuff!" Those are some great quotes with only one problem... they are 100% true. So they can't possibly be as good as made up quotes from made up sources like this one, "I want you inside me!!!" Partytown Women‘s College.

In less than four years Shane has already had an amazing amount of success in his comedy career.  First, he was a finalist in the 2006 International Boston Comedy Festival.  He was then 1 of 22 stand up comics from around the world invited to the most prestigious comedy festival in the country, The HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, where he was awarded Best Stand Up Comic of 2007.  And shortly had two appearance on Conan O'Brien!

He has also been on The Bob and Tom Radio Show, "Night Calls" on Playboy TV, Playboy Radio, XM and Sirius Radio.  Shane is without a doubt one of the top young comics in the country and has a lot more on the horizon including being on the 2008 season of Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham", two appearances on the 2008 season of BBC's "The World Stands Up" and much more.
