Ophira Eisenberg
Quick witted, unique and a whole lot of fun, Canada's Ophira Eisenberg starred in her own half-hour comedy special on CTV's Comedy Now! before moving to New York City. Since then she has appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Fresh Faces of Comedy, VH-1's Best Week Ever and All Access, E! Channel's Forbes Celebrity 100: Who Made Bank, NY1's The Call and Discovery Channel's Lost Treasures of the Deep.
Selected by BackStage as one of "10 Standout Stand Ups Worth Watching" in their Spotlight on Comedy Issue, Ophira performs regularly at renowned comedy clubs across the country. She also co-hosts and co-produces the acclaimed weekly show "Sweet Paprika," at the D-Lounge.
Her acting credits include The Overlookers (winner of best film at the 2005 Canadian Film Festival and best feature film at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival) Showtime's Queer As Folk, CBS's The Guardian, and the Oxygen Network.
She is also a contributing writer for US Magazine's Fashion Police and msn.com. In October 2006, one of Ophira's stories will appear in "I Killed: True Stories of the Road from America's Top Comics" published by Random House, along with others by Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Joan Rivers.
