Doug Funk, award winning and two time nominated comedian, is a seasoned performer with a fresh and contagious style. A veteran of the comedy scene, he started writing and performing standup comedy in 1987 studying with The Second City in Toronto. He moved to Vancouver in 1991 where he joined the Vancouver TheatreSports League. Since then, he has performed in many TheatreSports shows including as Captain Quirk in “Star Trick The Musical”.

With four consecutive seasons on the Comedy Network, five seasons on the Global Network, appearances in film, television and commercials, as well as hundreds of live performances throughout the country, Doug’s credits include the children’s improv show “Fibi’s Funny Bones” and the sketch shows “Slightly Bent TV” and ‘Suckerpunch” in which he starred and co-wrote. With his performances in a variety of school shows, he has also been nominated for a Jessie Award for Best Young Adult Entertainer.

Doug Funk is considered to be one of the most funny, thought provoking and versatile comics in the country.
