Joey Elias started doing comedy in 1992, after losing a pool hall bet with a friend. Well, things have worked out pretty good since then.
In his comedy career, Joey has appeared 7 times at Montreal 's International Comedy Festival "Just For Laughs". His two gala performances have been televised on the CBC, and can still be seen on The Comedy Network. Joey has also appeared on his very own Canadian National TV special "Comedy Now". Joey now travels worldwide headlining clubs and making numerous TV appearances. From England to the US , Joey traveled across Canada in 2004 and 2006 as part of the Lipton Just For Laughs Comedy Tour, and in the summer of 2004, he traveled to Afghanistan where he entertained Canadian troops stationed at Camp Julien and Camp Warehouse. Joey is now spreading his horizons into the realm of acting. His acting credits include roles in "The Art of War", "Redeemer", the blockbuster Fox feature film "The Day After Tomorrow" starring Dennis Quaid, and the TNT Movie of the Week, "The Wool Cap" opposite William H. Macy.
