What is a featured talent?

A featured talent is a talented web artists that works in comedy video – sketch, standup, improv, stunts, or rarely “other”. They usually hang around here.


How do I become a Featured Talent?

There are two ways of becoming a featured talent. You can become so popular and/or awesome that we have no choice but to knock on your door* and beg you to become a featured talent. Alternatively,  you can upload (hyperlink upload) some clips that best represent you on our site and shoot Jenny an email at jenny@justforlaughs.com If she literally throws herself to the floor and rolls on the ground laughing at your material, you're in!

What's in it for me?

You'll become part of the justforlaughs.com family and we'll all be saying nice things about you and and everything will be just swell!

If that's not enough for you greedy greedy people, here are some more reasons:

We are and will be financing web series pilots such as those ones and picking up pilots for development - such as this one. Our first choices mostly come from our featured talent pool and you will be the first informed when new opportunity arise.

We also offer profit sharing deals through some of our partners and are currently expanding our distribution network. None of this is automatic and mandatory however, you will be asked permission. Of course, offers are subject to the taste of our partners.

We offer extra visibility to our featured talents. Featured Talent videos often make the front page, we are also open to some extent to promote your events, DVD sales etc. on our site and through our mailing list.

Not to mention that you get a privileged door to Just For Laughs as a whole which includes only the biggest friggin comedy festival in the world, a super awesome film festival and a monstrous hit TV show, the Just For Laughs Gags.

Lastly but not leastly, you get to be in contact with the very incredible Jenny. That, in it's own is worth the trouble.

Do I lose my rights or anything of that sort?

No, none of that.

To make sure everyone understands we'll make this one a list so even he less intellectually gifted artists can follow:

1.Create an account here.
2.Upload a video here
3.Repeat #2 as many times as you wish the move to #4.
4.Shoot an email to jenny: jenny@justforlaughs.com
5.Be overjoyed
6.Hire a spam agency to send two hundred million emails about how you can enlarge your “member's size” by becoming a featured talent.


Do I need to send cake?

Sending cake is not mandatory although we do not discourage this behaviour.

But... But... But... I want to be a comedian...
